Enrolment Process |
- Pre-enrolment learner information emails sent – obtain a quote for Smart and Skilled funding.
- Obtain a quote for Smart and Skilled funding. Advise fees and payment plan option, if a student does not qualify for subsidised training.
- Information required at enrolment:
- LLN
- WWCC (this can be obtained at commencement of course)
- if Commonwealth Benefit recipient, statement needs to be provided
- if enquiring about the Diploma of EC, they need to provide a copy of their Cert III (either CHC30113 or CHC30121) certificate and transcript.
- If the student has previous qualifications we will require the student to complete a consent form and also provide identification with a matching signature. This can be a Drivers License, passport or ID.
- Register the Learner with Training NSW if they are using NSW Government funding. A copy is sent to the Learner.
- Establish payment options through Ezidebit or in full, as this needs to be included in the contract.
- Contract sent
- Once signed contract returned, an invoice is sent along with a copy of the Ezidebit agreement (if using a payment plan.)
- An Enrolment Checklist is sent to ensure the learner has received all pre-enrolment information.
- Welcome emails are sent providing the learner with their portal log in details & introducing their trainer.

To be eligible for Smart and Skilled subsidised training you must:
- live in NSW
- an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander who does not live or work in NSW (conditions apply)
- is:
- an Australian citizen or permanent resident; or
- a New Zealand citizen; or
- a humanitarian visa holder or a partner visa holder whose sponsor is a humanitarian visa holder; and
- is aged 15 years or older; and
- is no longer in secondary education - except home schooled students

Information Handling Procedure |
ACC follows all legislative requirements regarding Privacy. These include the
Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act) as amended by Privacy Amendment
(Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012 and the Australian Privacy Principles and NSW
Freedom of Information Act, 1989. ACC's Policies and Procedures regarding privacy and
access to information is based on the National Privacy Principals, extracted from the Privacy
Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012.
Kinds of Information Collected and Held
ACC will, from time to time, collect personal information from an individual, including:
• Home, work and postal addresses
• Email address
• Phone numbers
• Date of birth
• Martial status
• Next of kin details
• Student enrolment details
• Academic performance
• Personal welfare information (medical matters, Commonwealth assistance)
How Information is Collected and Held
ACC will only collect information:
• for a lawful purpose that is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, the
functions or activities of the entity,
• in a manner that is lawful, and
• in a manner that is consistent with our Equity and Fairness Policy.
When personal information is requested all necessary steps are taken to make sure the
person is aware of:
• the purpose(s) for which the information is being collected,
• where there is a primary reason for collecting the information, but it may be used for
secondary reasons, the nature of these secondary reasons,
• legal authority (if any) to collect the information,
• A person to whom; or anybody or agency to which; it is the usual practice to disclose
such information.
When personal information, is requested, ACC will:
• take such steps (if any) as are, in the circumstances, reasonable to ensure that the
information collected is relevant to that purpose and is up to date and complete;
• ensure that the collection of the information does not intrude to an unreasonable
extent upon the personal affairs of the individual concerned.
ACC will take all measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of staff, client and course
participant information; These include:
- secure online data storage with password protection
- password protection on all computers.
• ACC will not share, sell or give away any information collected about its staff, clients
or course participants to any other entity. Where required by legislation for
government funded programs, ACC will disclose participant details as required and
with the permission of participants provided in writing during the enrolment process.

Student Grievance Procedure and Form |
ACC aims to provide a positive work and training environment. Often issues arise as a result of miscommunication. Staff and participants are encouraged to discuss any concerns they have as soon as they arise. Any complaint made directly or indirectly will be recorded and responded to immediately with respect. ACC management will always maintain confidentiality. All parties are encouraged to communicate for an amicable solution. If a grievance does occur the following procedures will be implemented:
1. Any concerns regarding training or assessment, participants are encouraged to initially raise the issue with their assessor/ trainer. Any issue not related to training please refer directly to the training manager. Trainers please note concern in the Grievance register.
2. Any staff concerns to be raised initially with the person involved.
3. All unresolved grievances are to be discussed with ACC's Training Manager. If the issue involves the Training Manager the reporting and investigation of the complaint will be undertaken by the Human Resources Manager.
4. Any individual wishing to make a formal complaint is encouraged to complete a grievance form which can be accessed via the ACC Website. All complaints are investigated by ACC management immediately.
5. The individual making the complaint or grievance will be kept informed of the progress and outcome. No harassment will occur. Any persons found harassing the individual for making a complaint will themselves face disciplinary action.
6. ACC management will take every action possible to ensure that the incident does not re-occur
7. If you are not satisfied with ACC's response to your complaint ACC respects your right to obtain your own independent legal advice and representation. ACC respects your right to refer the issue to the ASQA Australian Skills Quality Authority.
